Steps to send exe and other files through Email

There are occasions when we wish to send to our friend some cool software or anyapplication via email but the email scanners don’t allow us to do that.
This is right on one part to disallow anyone to send virus which are exe files through email but it is of no use to people who have no intention of sending the viruses through the mail.
So here are the steps if you wish to send the executable files through the email likeGmail.
Steps:
1. The best way to do that use online file storage like Rapidshare or MegaUpload and send the link to the friend.
2. Or you can try just renaming the file extension from exe to some other like jpg, doc or txt and ask your friend on other side to rename it back to the exe. This will fool the email scanner and the file can be sent.
To rename just go to the folder options -> view tab -> uncheck the option of Hide extensions, this will display the file extensions so that you can easily rename the files.
3. You can also compress the exe files into a zip or rar archive and rename the archive from zip or rar to some other (Note: Gmail scanner can scan the zip archive as well, so renaming zip to other extension is necessary).
P.S.: sending exe files even while renaming violates the mail policies.

How to send exe Executable Files through Email

There are occasions when we need to send some exe files like the executable setup files for some tool to our friends but the problem with these is that the email service providerslike Gmail or Yahoo Email, do not allow us to do so because of the safety purposes. This is because the spam that we receive, have the virus as the exe files attached.
Thus whenever we try to send any exe file to our friend, the virus scanner of the email services mark the files as virus (due to suspicion) and thus don’t allow us to send those. Then how should we send them, here is the simple solution.
Steps to send exe files via email:
1.    Log into your email account like Gmail or YMail.
2.    The best and the simplest way to send the file, is by renaming it. We have tried creating a zip/rar archive as well, but this thing worked for some users/files only.
3.    What you need to do is just rename the extension of the file from exe to some other or any extension like txt, doc or abc. Say the file name is setup.exe then to be able to send the file, just rename it to setup.txt or like setup.ex (what this will do is, it will suggest the recipient that the file type is exe which he will rename back to exe).
4.    Attach the file and send it.
This is the simplest solution to send the exe file through email without any software.

Send Email from Desktop Directly with Mail Sender and Flooder

If you work lot on emails and require sending one after every short interval then logging into the web browser client is really tiresome. Wouldn’t it be great if you could send the email directly from your desktop client to the recipient without running the browser and logging again?
This could be done easily with Microsoft Outlook but configuring the Yahoo or Gmailaccount with Outlook is not that easy and not everyone likes to use it for sending and receiving the emails. To serve this purpose better there is a desktop client called Mail Sender and Flooder which can be used to send an email directly from your desktop to the email recipient easily without logging into the web browser account.
The tool is developed by one of our readers Anubhav, and after reviewing it I found it worthy to be shared with all. Using this tool you can send the emails with your account on Yahoo orGmail along with any attachments. The tool is easy to understand, reliable and virus free. The email can be sent to multiple recipients as well after separating them with semi colon.
So if you want a tool that can send email for you without logging into the web account, then do try this tool. The tool is password protected which can be unlocked with this password “abhicmptips”.

Unfriend Finder: Find when someone Unfriends you on Facebook

We have lot of buddies in our facebook friends’ list, some we know very well, some who are acquaintance but there are occasions when someone removes us from their friends’ list.Facebook don’t have any provision of displaying any notification or any other mean, to let us know when someone removes us or unfriends us from their friend list.
In case you are wondering what Unfriends mean, these are the people who either have removed us from their friend list or have deactivated their account on Facebook. While Facebook never show you who all unfriended you, this is still possible with the use some third party apps like this one called Unfriend Finder.
Unfriend Finder is a script that works real time to let you know who all have removed you from their friend list. This script compares your buddies with the database maintained and refreshed over the time, so as to find any discrepancy and report it to you. Unfriend Finder will tell you which friends have removed you, who have deactivated their accounts, people you have requested friendship with and who has declined your friend request.
The app let you know about the event, by showing a red symbol in the menu bar along with the standard Facebook notification. To be able to use this, you need to install the “Greasemonkey” (only in case of Firefox users, other browser users bypass this step) and install the script.
